NWFP Senior Minister Siraj-ul-Haq has felicitated Ghazanfar Bilour and other newly elected office bearers of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI).
He expressed confidence that new leadership would extend helping hand to provincial government to streamline trade and commerce activities in the province besides endeavoring for welfare of community and redressing their grievances.
In a message of felicitation here on Thursday, the Senior Minister assured wholehearted support to the SCCI on behalf of provincial government. He said they could approach any member of provincial cabinet including the Chief Minister and the Senior Minister for solving their problems.
He said doors of provincial government's members would remain open 24 hours for all segments of society and traders' community in particular. He assured to toil their level best to mitigate traders' grievances or complaints on priority basis.
The Senior Minister said MMA government considered it essential to increase avenues of investment and industrialisation in the province to alleviate its poverty and backwardness, enhance job opportunities and ensure economic stability. He said drastic steps were being taken in that respect including announcement of investment policy based on many incentives as well as holding of international investment conference at Peshawar that spoke bulk of their sanctity to purpose.
He said peaceful atmosphere was basic requirement for attracting local and foreign investment while provincial government had left no stone unturned to open its abundantly available natural resources for larger national interest. He said cordial relations with neighbouring Muslim country Afghanistan were also sought with sole aim to promote political and economic stability in the entire region. He hoped traders' community would play front role in such efforts.
