A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC), comprising Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice Azizullah M Memon, on Wednesday issued notices to Governor, SBP for October 4 while hearing a constitution petition filed by three lower grade employees.
Muhammad Aslam, Zahoor Ahmed and Abdul Rasheed Niazi of SBP moved the court against alleged "Inequities" distribution of bonus amongst SBP employees. They maintained that SBP posted a profit of rupees 320 million during the previous financial year and SBP has announced a bonus of a meagre rupees 4300 to lower grade employees while rupees 170,000 to high officials which amounts to sheer discrimination. The petitioners sought intervention of the SHC to redress their grievance.
