Poet Umeed Fazli passes away

Renowned Poet Umeed Fazli died on Wednesday night after a protracted illness. This was announced in a statement of the Anjuman Taraqi Urdu Pakistan here on Thursday.
It said that a condolence meeting was organised by the Anjuman at its premises on Thursday. Rich tributes were paid to the deceased on his literary contributions. Anjuman President Aftab Ahmed Khan expressed deep sorrow and grief at the death of Umeed Fazli.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage with fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Jamiluddin Aali also described the death of Umeed Fazli as a big loss especially for the literary world.
