The Anti Terrorist Courts of Rawalpindi have adjourned the hearing of cases of suicide attacks on President General Pervez Musharraf and the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
According to details, the Judge of Anti Terrorism Court No 1 Manzoor Ahmed Mirza has adjourned the hearing of suicide attack on President Musharraf's motorcade till 14th October.
On Friday the court had to record the statement of a woman Shazia Mubashar, accused in December 25, 2003 suicide attack on President Musharraf.
The December 25 suicide attack was held at Jhanda Chechi area of Civil Lines of Rawalpindi resulting in killing of seven people and injuries of more than 40 people.
The learned judge adjourned the hearing without any proceedings till October 14.
Meanwhile, the Anti Terrorism Court No 2 Judge Safdar Hussain Malik has adjourned the hearing of suicide attack on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, which was occurred in Fateh Jang during his election campaign of the by-elections.
It may recalled two suicide bombers attacked Prime Minister and then Finance Minister when he was coming out of public meeting during his election for National Assembly elections. Aziz won the election and became Premier of Pakistan.
Seven people including suicide bomber Irfan died in the attack while 25 other injured. Shaukat Aziz remained unhurt in the incident. Police have arrested three brothers from Awan village of Attock district namely Abdul Manam, Abdul Basit and Nisar Ahmed on January 18. They were pronounced as activists of the defunct terrorist outfit Jaish e Muhammad and Jamiat ul Furqan, and key planners of the attack.
The court adjourned the hearing on case till October 4, as the prosecution failed to bring the eight accused including three real brothers involved in the conspiracy in the court.
