Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has appreciated the police performance in apprehending Bashir alias Bashri gang involved in dacoity and murder of Brigadier Saeed Ahmad (Retd); and announced cash reward for the police officials.
He was talking to the police officers and constables, who busted the gang involved in 72 cases of dacoity, murder and other heinous crimes here on Friday.
Punjab Inspector General Police, Zia-ul-Hassan Khan, DIG Tariq Saleem Dogar and SSP Operations Lahore, Amir Zulfiqar Khan were also present on the occasion, disclosed an official here on Friday.
The Chief Minister announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each for SHO Ghalib Market, Amir Saleem and SHO Gulberg Police Station, Ashraf Chadhar and Rs 30,000 each constable of the raiding party. He also announced commendatory certificate for ASP Gulberg Jehanzeb Khan.
He lauded the efficiency of SSP Operations, Amir Zulfiqar Khan, ASP Jehanzeb, inspectors and other police officials in arresting these hardened criminals and said the bravery, courage and sense of responsibility of these police officers and employees is a noble example for others.
He expressed the hope that police force would display the same spirit and professionalism in curbing the crimes.
