An accountability court on Saturday put off till October 15, the proceedings in a reference against former federal minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar when investigating officer submitted his statement.
The counsel of the accused will cross-examine his statement on next date of hearing. The accused is facing the charges of allotting textile quota illegally and without lawful authority.
Moreover, another accountability court adjourned the proceedings till October 07, the proceeding in a reference against former chief minister Punjab, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo when counsel of his co-accused Haider Usman concluded his arguments.
The accused is facing the charges of committing irregularities in disbursement of Baitul Maal funds. He is also facing the charges of obliging his favourites illegally and without lawful authority.
