The Karachi Port handled 112,921 tonnes of cargo including 84,535 tonnes import and 28,386 tonnes export cargo including 4,268 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 98,572 tonnes dry cargo including 71,683 tonnes general cargo; 5,282 tonnes sugar; 10,567 tonnes coal; 5,982 tonnes fertiliser; 4,332 tonnes rice; 726 tonnes cement and 14,349 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely Kota Teraju, Eax Sanctity, Golden Express, Pac Antlia, Makra, Ajman Trans, Chem Pisces, Iron Butterfly, Serife and Hyderabad sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Great Calm, Golden Express, Iron Butterfly, Ghadeer, Iran Shahryar, Ocean Peace, Westermuehlen, Wan Hai-261 and Sagamore are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Sagamore, MT Johar, Star Inventana, Wan Hai-261 and Iran Shahryar expected to sail on Saturday, while five vessels viz Ocean Island, Egretta, Maersk Arizona, Thor Captain and Westermuehlen expected to sail on Sunday.
Four vessels viz Maersk Arizona, Ilse Wulff, Ryong Gang-2 and Long An Cheng due to arrive on Saturday, while five ships namely Al-Marwah, Harsanadi, Lalazar, Tong Hai and Jaipur are due to arrive on Sunday.
Five ships namely Bow De Jin, Corinthiakos, Hanjin Busan, Ever Guide and Khairpur are due to arrive on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 6,044 tonnes edible oil; 5,410 tonnes seeds; 12,233 tonnes coal; 2,845 tonnes sugar and 28,220 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two vessels viz CV Contship Indigo and Maersk Arizona sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while four more ships namely MT Ace-7, MV Bota Fogo, Genco Success and CV Amasis are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of four vessels viz Jain She-31, Entalina, Al-Maqwa and Tain Da are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely MT Al-Maqwa, Jain She-31, Gas Legacy and MV Tain Da due to take berths on Saturday.
Six vessels viz CV Lissy Schlte, Merker Beach, Maersk Alaska, Anett Kosan, MV Hyderabad and Evangelost with containers, rice, chemicals and sugar due to arrive on Saturday, while four more ships namely MV Esna, Joyos Age, Al-Marwah and MSC Hailey with seeds, wheat, chemicals, sugar and containers are due to arrive on Sunday.
