The Karachi Port handled 34,646 tonnes of cargo including 27,984 tonnes import and 6,662 tonnes export cargo including 1,320 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 31,349 tonnes dry cargo including 17,056 tonnes general cargo; 14,293 tonnes bulk cargo and 3,297 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Nine ships namely Iran Baluchistan, Iran Shahryar, Sagamore, Thor Captain, Westermuehlen, Wan Hai-261, Ocean Island, Egretta and Maersk Arizona sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Capatan Tassos, Maersk Arizona, Blue Star, Long An Cheng, Sifnos Sky, Rockaway Bells, Harsanadi, Tong Hai and llse Wulff are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Harsanadi and llse Wulff expected to sail on Monday, while another ship Jaipur is five vessels viz Ocean Island, Egretta, Maersk Arizona, Thor Captain and Westermuehlen expected to sail on Tuesday.
Five vessels viz Corinthiakos, Hanjin Busan, Sinar Bontang, hun Jaing and Wave due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Apl Jeddah, Ever Guide, Med Lerici, Dover Castle and Khairpur are due to arrive on Tuesday.
