Consumers in their thousands on Tuesday stood in long lines at different utility stores in the city to purchase various items for the month of Ramazan at the advertised fair prices, reports UPP correspondent.
However, at many Utility Stores in the city, the stock of several items were exhausted by afternoon and fresh demands were placed for supply of more daily use items to these utility stores.
A number of buyers at the Utility Stores in the Secretariat area near the MPAs hostel told UPP correspondent that single line of buyers was too long and the utility store's administration had made no arrangements for handling the very high number of customers. One buyer said his turn came after more than three hours of waiting. The buyers of sugar, cooking oil and various Iftar items including gram, chickpeas and various condiments were in large number calling at the Utility stores.
