The chief financial officer of struggling Japanese electronics maker Sanyo Electric Co Ltd has quit because he was at odds with the president and chief executive over how to rebuild the firm.
In a statement released late on Friday, Sanyo said Yoichiro Furuse handed in his resignation because of "differing views over management policies". Furuse, 63, had been working on a plan to rebuild the company after earthquake damage to a chip factory and sluggish demand for core products.
