All Pakistan Bedsheets and Upholstry Manufacturers Association (Apbuma) Founder Chairman Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah said: "Pakistan has potential to compete other textile products manufacturers in world market and our export could be doubled if government gives incentives to value-added industry."
In a press statement issued here on Sunday, he said about 15 exhibitors from Pakistan are participating in the Heimtextil India, which is scheduled to be held at Mumbai Exhibition Centre from October 10 to 13, 2005.
He said Pakistani commercial exporters have set up their exclusive pavilion in the world's most famous exhibition of home textiles, as the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has sponsored the pavilion.
Majority of the manufacturers of home furnishing in Pakistan largely depends on the Heimtextil in Frankfurt in order to secure exports orders from European Union, USA and other textile importing countries, he said.-PR
