The University of Sindh - National Center of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry during the first week of December at its Jamshoro campus will organise three-day international training workshop on 'Patent System' jointly sponsored by the Comstech and Isesco.
A high level advisory council of the international workshop decided this at a meeting held here on Tuesday, which was attended by the representatives of various organisations and industries.
Advisory Committee Chairman Dr Bhanghar while briefing the advisory council said the workshop would be the first of its kind in which eminent foreign experts and participants from several Islamic countries expected to participate.
He further informed the concept was to foster research and development of technology for patent search and retrieval by providing a forum, in which researchers and parishioners from relevant communities of Islamic countries could share their ideas, approaches, perspectives and experiences from their work in progress.
The organisers informed the advisory council meeting that resource persons from Malaysia, USA, Saudi Arabia and Korea would be participating.
It was further informed the meeting that a number of among the participants, some scholars from Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Indonesia, Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan and Indonesia would be attending the workshop.
The meeting decided that representatives from industries from all over the country would be invited while the industrialists would be invited to chair the working sessions of the workshop.
