AKDN reserves four helicopters for relief operation

The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) has placed four helicopters at government's disposal to supplement their relief efforts in earthquake affected areas and has also made an initial contribution of Rs30 million to President's Relief Fund.
Chairman Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Sultan Allana stated this Wednesday while visiting worst-hit Balakot, Muzzafarabad and adjoining areas along with President HBL Zakir Mehmood and other senior bank officials.
Zakir Mehmood said HBL had mobilised all its domestic and international branches to receive funds for the affected people. HBL staff has also contributed their one-day salary, he added.
"We visited affected areas to empathise with people there and also to provide relief goods to HBL employees and their families whose lives have been spared by Grace of Allah," they said in a statement issued here.
