Wapda dispatches medical teams to quake-hit areas

Wapda Medical Directorate has constituted and dispatched a number of medical teams in earthquake effected areas to support and strengthen the ongoing rescue and rehabilitation operation for the victims.
According to a spokesman of Wapda, seven Wapda medical teams comprising medical officers and dispensers/dressers will work in Balakot, Abbottabad, Battal/Batgram, Rawala Kot, Mansehra, Mirpur and other areas in Azad Kashmir. Considerable supply of first aid/emergency medicines has also been placed at the disposal of these teams. At each place, an ambulance has also been stationed to transport critically injured/sick to the nearby hospitals for specialised treatment. These teams will work in collaboration with CMH and DHQ of the respective areas as well as WHO.
