Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Mir Mohammad Naseer Mengal presented cheques of Rs 303 million and $1.1 million to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at the Prime Minister Secretariat here on Wednesday.
These contribution were received from the public and private sectors oil and gas companies towards the President's Relief Fund for earthquake victims.
Petroleum and Natural Resources Secretary Ahmed Waqar was also present on the occasion.
The prime minister lauded the noble gesture of the oil and gas companies and hoped that it would help in rehabilitating the earthquake victims.
The oil and gas companies contribution included OGDCL, Rs 56.14 million; Pamco, Rs 31.64 million; SNGPL, Rs 20 million; Government Holdings, Rs 10 million; SSGC, Rs 20 million; PPC, Rs 21 million; PSO, Rs 20 million; PMDC, Rs 16 million; PEL, Rs 1 million; Asghar Oil Company, Rs 0.5 million; Bosicor Refinery, Rs 0.5 million; Pakistan Refinery Limited, Rs 10 million; Admore, Rs 1 million; Hosecomb, Rs 1.08 million; PAIG, Rs 0.5 million; MOL, Rs 12 million; BHP Billiton, Rs 11.36 million; PKP, Rs 16.09 million; ENI, $0.5 million; and Tullow, $0.1 million.
