Balochistan Assembly here on Thursday unanimously adopted a resolution demanding of the provincial government to pay a specific amount as compensation to legal heirs of the government employees, who die while in service like that of the Punjab government.
The resolution recommended compensation of Rs 0.2 million to heirs of the deceased employee in grade 1 to 4, Rs 0.3 million in grade 5 to 10, Rs 0.4 million in grade 11 to 15, Rs0.5 million in grade 16 and 17, Rs 0.8 million in grade 18 and 19 and Rs 1 million in grade 20 and above.
Speaker Jamal Shah Kakar presided over the proceeding.
The resolution presented by the opposition member, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, was endorsed by treasury and opposition benches without any objection.
The Assembly also approved another resolution presented by Sardar Azam Musakhel with amendments suggested by opposition leader Kachkol Ali.
The resolution demanded of the provincial government to provide required funds for improvement in the agricultural research farm in Loralai and other districts of the province. Another resolution tabled by Kackol Ali was deferred by the House on the request of the mover himself.
Earlier, the Speaker took serious notice of the non-implementation of his order regarding action against the Quetta Development Authority officials involved in irregularities in shifting of bus stand from the city to its outskirts in Hazar Ganj when the members drew his attention towards the matter.
