The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has advised scheduled commercial banks to accept donations to the President's Relief Fund for earthquake victims through credit cards also.
The State Bank has asked presidents/chief executives of all scheduled banks to issue necessary instructions to all branches (even in the remotest areas/small towns) in this regard.
The central bank directed them to provide every possible assistance to donors by accepting donations made through credit cards also, besides cash, cheques, drafts, prize bonds, Defence Savings certificates and Special Savings Certificates, etc.
