The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore has sent a 25-member team of doctors and students along with relief goods worth Rs 1.5 million to the earthquake-affected areas of Balakot.
The varsity's vice chancellor has constituted a quake relief committee headed by Dean Veterinary Sciences, Dr Khalid Pervaiz to collect relief goods.
The university teachers, students, administrative staff and other employees donated cash, food items, medicines, quilts/blankets, clothes, water bottles etc. The university also sent 4000-meter cloth for coffins of victims.
