The rupee on Saturday did not show any change versus the dollar for buying and selling at 59.72 and 59.74, respectively in interbank dealings.
The rupee maintained its overnight levels versus the dollar due to easy supply amid slackened business, they added.
In the overseas market, the dollar moved slightly versus the major currencies after the economic report, they said.
OPEN MARKET RATES: The rupee sustained its last level for buying at 60.05 while slipping on the selling side at 60.15, they said.
The euro strengthened versus the rupee, gaining 55 paisa for buying and selling at Rs 72.25 and Rs 72.35, respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The rupee further improved its worth by 10 paisa on buying side and five paisa on the selling side in relation to the greenback in the local currency markets on Saturday.
According to the currency dealers, the dollar failed to sustain its overnight level for lack of buying support and started declining soon after commencement of trading. Its buying rate came down from Rs 60.00 of Friday to Rs 59.90 while its selling price fell from Rs 60.10 to Rs 60.05. There was no uniform rate in the market as some dealers quoted dollar's selling rate as Rs 60.00.
The rupee, however, continued downward trend and further lost its value against the pound sterling. The pound's buying rate moved up from its previous closing of Rs 104.70 to Rs 105.70, while its selling rate increased from Rs 105.00 to Rs 106.10, the dealers added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The buying and selling rates of the dollar against the rupee remained unchanged in the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Saturday.
The dollar opened at Rs 60.15 (buying) and Rs 60.25 (selling) against the last rate. It did not observe any further change in the second spell, and closed at Rs 60.15 (buying) and Rs 60.25 (selling).
Pound sterling opened at Rs 104.50 (buying) and Rs 105 (selling) against the last rate. It did not show any further change, and closed at Rs 104.50 (buying) and Rs 105 (selling).
