Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) spent an amount of Rs 87 million for completion of various power supply projects, including village electrification in Sindh except Karachi during Sept, 2005.
These power supply projects have been completed under various development programmes, including Khushal Pakistan Programme, the Hesco Project Director Construction, Habibullah Khilji informed here on Saturday.
He said that on the directives of the Prime Minister under Khushal Pakistan Programme, Rs 135,380,27 had been spent for energising 16 villages, constructing 329 poles of HTPC, 31 poles of LTPC and installing 52 transformers of 10 KVA and 10 transformers of 15 KVA in Tharparkar, Sanghar, Thatta, Dadu and Sukkur districts in September.
During the same period, Hesco energised 38 villages, constructed 406 poles of HTPC and 66 poles of LTPC and installed 59 transformers of 10 KVA and 32 transformers of 15 KVA on the recommendations of members Sindh Assembly with an amount of Rs 1,82,65,998 in Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Naushehro Feroz, Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki and Shikarpur districts.
On the recommendations of the Senators, Rs 1770,288 have been spent for constructing 65 HTPC poles and installing five transformers of 10 KVA in a village of Badin district.
On the recommendations of Members National Assembly, 32 power supply projects have been completed with an amount of Rs 12,768,130 in Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Naushehro Feroz, Nawabshah and Ghotki districts during the month of September 2005.
Under Khushal Pakistan Programme, 22 power supply projects worth Rs 8,556,492 have been completed in Badin, Naushehro Feroz, Jamshoro and Sukkur districts, which included the construction of 188 HTPC and 24 LTPC poles and installation of 40 transformers of 10KVA and five transformers of 15 KVA.
On the recommendation of the district governments two villages have been energised in Tando Allahyar and Khairpur districts with construction of 10 HTCP poles and installation of four 10KVA transformers at a cost of Rs 597275.
Under the Hesco Partially Programme, 24 villages of Sanghar, Nawabshah, Naushero Feroz, Khairpur, Ghotki, Larkana and Shahdadkot have been energised with construction of 216 HTPC, 130 LTPC poles and installation of 68 transformers of 10 KVA and 12 transformers of 15 KVA with an amount of Rs 12069776.
Under HT Proposal, a power supply project has been completed in Badin district with construction of 39 HTPC poles at a cost of Rs 2746206 and under LT Proposal, 75 power supply schemes have been completed at a cost of Rs 15,951,743 in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Naushehro Feroz, Dadu, Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Larkana, Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts.
