Warid Telecom in collaboration with Wateen STM has started a PCO mobile GSM service, which is connected with (VSAT) and cellular on wheels (COW) and is operational in Mansehra.
According to Warid Telecom here on Monday, it has the capacity to provide service to about 100 subscribers at a time and can cover about 4 kilometres.
Warid and Wateen STM are also starting this (VSAT) COW service in Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and Bagh in collaboration with the SCO.
A company's spokesman said: "We are also sending three micro BTS to Muzaffarabad, two to Rawalkot and two to Bagh. These free-of-cost PCO facilities will cater to at least 10 people at a time. Three engineers from the United States and Nepal have come to man these PCOs.-PR
