Ten persons were killed in various road accidents, while more than two dozen injured and six of them seriously have been admitted in various hospitals.
According to details, three persons Muhammad Shahbaz driver and Faqir Mohammad cleaner of pickup and a passenger Bashir Ahmad including were killed, while ten bus passengers injured in a head on collision between passenger bus and a pick-up near Chak 61-JB on Sidhar Bypass, here early in the morning.
The villagers and passers-by immediately shifted eight passengers of the bus who received injuries to Allied Hospital and other private hospitals. Three of them reported to be in serious condition.
Police officials informed that the bodies of the deceased had been handed over to their heirs, but they refused to register any case against bus drivers.
It is interesting to note that both drivers of ill-fated pickup and passenger bus were close relatives.
