Rs 1.021 billion approved for zakat

Punjab Zakat Council, which met under the chairmanship of Justice Muhammad Akram Beetu (Retd), has accorded approval for releasing an amount of Rs 1.021 billion for zakat deserving people.
The 76th meeting of the Provincial Zakat Council also gave approval for releasing Rs 125 million so that Zakat deserving people could get Rs 500 each before Eid.
Dr Mahmood-ul-Hassan Arif, Professor Muhammad Naseem Cheema, Allama Zubair Ahmad Zaheer, Allama Ahmad Ali Kasuri, Zarina Tabassum Rana, Begum Hamid Rana, Secretary Zakat and Ushr Syed Muhammad Hamid and Dr Muhammad Saleh, Deputy Secretary Finance attended the meeting.
The participants of meeting offered Fateha for the victims of the earthquake.
