China sent its ninth batch of relief goods to the quake-hit Pakistan on Wednesday, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan China has already sent eight batches of relief materials including blankets, tents and mini-sized dynamos weighing 200 tons in total.
Kong told newsmen that the Chinese government had provided Pakistan with 24,000 water purifying tablets and 5,000 bottles of chlorine-made disinfectors by Tuesday.
China was committed to help Pakistan at that difficult time as much as possible, he added.
Total donation from the Chinese side in cash and materials up till had reached about 13 million dollars. After hearing about the massive disasters, China promptly dispatched rescue team and relief goods to Pakistan.
Chinese Premier Won Jiabao issued immediate instructions for making the emergency aid available to the affected people. He also held special meeting with Pakistan Ambassador Salman Bashir to know Pakistan's requirement for the relief work.
