Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Anwar Salikkhbaev called on Federal Minister for Water and Power, Liaquat Ali Jatoi and discussed proposed programme of Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) likely to be held in December in Uzbekistan and other related matters of mutual interest.
The Minister, who is also the Chairman of the JMC informed him the coming JMC would prioritised sectors for the co-operation among the countries.
The minister also stressed the need for early implementation of MoUs signed between the two countries.
Jatoi said that private sector representatives from Pakistan would be encouraged to participate in the JMC to seek joint venture opportunities. He also thanked to the government and people of Uzbekistan, who generously provide relief goods and assistance to Pakistan after earthquake.
Earlier, the Uzbek Ambassador in his initial remarks expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives due to earthquake.
