A team of physicians and volunteers, representing Kabul based NGO - Ibne Sina, called on the NWFP Governor Khalil-ur-Rehman at Governor's House here on Thursday and presented a donation of 1,080 hand knitted jerseys worth dollars 5,000 for earthquake victims of the province.
The team which was led by Deputy Director General of the organisation Dr Mirza Jan also disclosed to significantly contribute to the relief activities, meant for earthquake affected people of the province. He further disclosed they were going to establish a medical camp in the remote pockets of affected area and had sufficient resources at their disposal for that purpose.
Talking on this occasion, the Governor highly welcomed the good move from the Kabul based NGO. This, he said indeed reflected the spirit and affection of the people of Afghanistan towards their Pakistani brethren and they would always remember the relief. Talking about the feelings of Afghan people, Dr Mirza Jan said they had a long association with Pakistanis and would never oversight the help and assistance availed by them in Pakistan during Afghan War.
