More than 76 development projects of the Tameer-e-Punjab programme worth Rs 27 million were approved in a Provincial Steering Committee meeting presided over by the Punjab Law and Local Governments Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja.
Twelve projects pertain to Chakwal, two to Narowal, 12 to Faisalabad, five to Sahiwal, 32 to Lahore, 13 to Gujranwala and one each to Multan and Sialkot. Twenty-three communication network improvement schemes worth Rs 3.53 million were also approved for DG Khan. The minister directed the participants to ensure that highest construction standards are met.
