The Executive Director, Justice Foundation Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Shawl has welcomed the bold humanitarian initiative announced by Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf in Muzaffarabad and Azad Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Professor Shawl said that the cease-fire line between divided Kashmir had remained a great obstacle in the process of free movement of people and many families continued to remain divided and deprived due to this unnatural barrier.
A tragedy of great magnitude hit Jammu and Kashmir and any effort to unite the broken homes should be welcomed not only by the people of Jammu & Kashmir but by all the people believing in the universality of human bondage, he added.
