Sale of essential items in Sastay Ramazan Bazars at concessional rates was continuing in various districts of the province and prices of daily use articles have stabilised.
According to the statistics issued by Punjab Prices and Supplies Board here on Saturday, as many as 1,271 raids were conducted during a single day on shops and stalls while action was taken against 226 shopkeepers for overcharging or the sale of sub-standard items and a fine of Rs 95,000 was imposed on each shopkeeper.
