Director General, Inter Services Public Relations, Major General Shaukat Sultan on Sunday said that more then 20,000 patients have been admitted in military and civil hospital of the twin cites.
Talking with private TV channel, he said about 8,594 patients were brought in military hospitals, while about 12,300 have been provided medical facility in civil hospitals.
He said about 13,000 patients have been discharged after providing necessary treatment from military and civil hospitals.
DG ISPR said about 5,900 patients are still under treatment in military hospitals.
He said ICRC international committee of Red Cross has established about 100-bed hospitals at Muzaffarabad.
Now it has been decided to provide treatment to slightly injured on sight while seriously injured would be shifted to the twin cities hospitals, he added.
To a question, he said army is trying to reach inaccessible areas through animal transport.
He said work to remove debris has been started in affected areas. Army engineers have recovered about 125 bodies from debris of Balakot's Shaheen collage, he added.
He said army has also built bridge on Neelum river which will help to reopen traffic.
Shaukat Sultan further said most of Muzaffarabad and Chakothi road has been reopened.
He said work to reopen Balakot and Kaghan roads was in full swing.
DG ISPR said Turkish government has established a cook house in Jalalbad park of Muzaffarabad which will supply fresh food to the affected people.
