Chairman Hurriyat Conference (A) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has termed the government's claim of releasing the detainees in holy month of Ramazan as baseless and hollow. Umar has also demanded immediate release of Dukhtaran Milat Chairperson Syeda Asiya Andrabi.
In a statement, Hurriyat (A) chairman said that the government had claimed to release detainees in the holy month but did not keep its promise, a KT report said on Sunday.
He condemned Asiya's continued detention and said she was doing a good job against the immoral activities. But it is unfortunate that she was detained under PSA and despite her deteriorating health she is not being released.
Umar demanded the immediate release of all prisoners, including Dukhtaran chairperson.
