Seven persons, including two women were killed, while more than one dozen others injured in various road accidents on Tuesday.
In the first accident, Sheikh Mohammad Younus, a businessman of Shadab Colony, and his secretary Zaiba Tahir were killed, while driver Rizwan injured seriously, when their car turned turtle near Sahianwala Interchange of Motorway. Chak Jhumra police have registered a case against driver Rizwan and arrested him in Allied Hospital for investigation.
The heirs of Zaiba Tahir, reportedly, have refused to receive her dead body due to unknown reason, however, the hospital administration said the body was handed over to the Punjab Medical College after medical examination.
In second accident, a woman Sardaran Bibi was killed, while Faqir Hussain, Mohammad Iqbal and car driver Mohammad Shafique injured, one of them seriously, in a head-on-collision between car and tractor trolley near Slony Jhal on Sumandri road. Car was coming to Faisalabad from Samundri.
In third accident, a Jeweller Muhammad Naeem was killed while his two friends Jahangir and Imran were injured seriously, when their motorcycle slipped away and collided with a truck near river Chenab.
Injured persons admitted in Allied Hospital Faisalabad. In fourth accident, a motorist was killed on Faisalabad-Chiniot Road near Saim Nullah, when it was collided with a car. A 70-year old Allah Ditta was crushed to death by a car near Mullanpur.
Apart from this eight social workers were injured, three of them seriously, when a Faisalabad bound coach was collided with a truck, carrying relief goods for the earthquake-affected areas from Jhang near Pindi Bhattian.
Haji Zafar Hussain, Akbar Khan and Siddique reportedly are in serious condition in Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.
