Quake: media's role commended

Media Monitoring and Analysis Pakistan (MMAP) has commended the role of print and electronic media in projecting the plight of earthquake victims.
In a meeting of the MMAP, held with Zahid Iqbal Qureshi in the chair here on Monday, the participants paid tributes to people for co-operating with the government in carrying out relief operations and foreign agencies and donors for supplementing rescue efforts and extending financial assistance to Pakistan.
The meeting also urged the government, NGOs and community organisations to do their best for providing the best possible treatment facilities in hospitals for the injured people.
The meeting was also attended by Jamil Chaudhry, Saima Khan, Ahsan Siddiqui, Naseerul Haq Hashmi, Arfa Sarfraz, Amira Malik, Sadaf Basheer and Munazza Jabeen.-PR
