Capital City Police Officer Tariq Jameel has been transferred and asked to report to Establishment Division with immediate effect. DIG Administration, Sindh Police, Zafar Ahmed Farooqui, is expected to replace him, it is learnt.
This and many more changes in the provincial police setup were being considered for a long time on the insistence of the political parties that have joined hands to form a coalition government in Sindh.
Sources said that the political complexities that dictate sensitive administrative changes in the province were to be maintained at all cost.
They said that more high ranking police officials would be changed/reshuffled after Eid.
