The Faisalabad Sales Tax Collectorate has blacklisted 31 firms on charges of filing bogus or unconfirmed sales tax invoices, said Collector Shafqat Mahmood while addressing an Iftar party by Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PETA) here on Thursday evening.
He said that no refund claim of these blacklisted firms would be entertained in future. He said that total 111 sales tax reconciliation cases were pending with the collectorate. Out of these, 67 have been reconciled while remaining are pending due to lack of requisite information.
The collector said that 158 firms had not filed their reconciliation statements. He asked these exporters to file their statements so that it could also be settled without any further delay.
Arif Tanseef, Chairman, PTEA, appreciated the zero rating of sales tax regime. However, he demanded immediate settlement of the pending cases.
