AETO dismissed, another reverted

With a view to ensuring good governance, the excise & taxation department has taken action against some officers of the department. A spokesman of the E&T department said here on Friday that Assistant Excise & Taxation Officer (AETO) Pakpattan, Maqsood Pervaiz Butt has been dismissed from service on the charge of absence from duty.
AETO Bhakkar Tariq Mahmood Niazi has been demoted to the rank of Excise Inspector on the charge of changing the official record. Similarly, AETO Sialkot Mushtaq Ahmad Qureshi has been suspended on public complaints.
The spokesman warned the E&T officials to mend their ways otherwise be ready to face strict disciplinary action.
