On October 20 we saw a letter in the Business Recorder from Muhammad Shamim regarding relief to earthquake-hit Northern Area, an industrial zone, which is quite correct.
Surely there has been heavy damage to all small cottage industries for cosmetic-makers who are now under financial crisis since most of the workers from Bagh, Balakot and other Northern Area are left and the business has been closed.
Due to earthquake damages it is impossible for us to pay excise/sales tax voluntarily to the CBR.
It is requested that the CBR may defer and give relief to the small cottage industry for such voluntarily payment. Nobody knows when this will re-start.
