Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a dairy farm owner and injured his employee in the busiest Chenab Chowk, in the presence of police here on Saturday night.
Belonging to Pansara village, victim Shakeel Ahmad, along with his employee Muhammad Ramzan was waiting for a friend at Chowk Chenab Club, when four unidentified armed men, suddenly came there in a car FSA-6467 and opened indiscriminate firing at them.
Both sustained severe bullet injuries, in which Shakeel Ahmad died on the spot, while injured Muhammad Ramzan was rushed to hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition.
According to eyewitnesses, policemen were on their duty near the spot where the incident took place, but they could not bother to chase the accused persons.
However, police have registered a case and investigation is in progress.
