The commodity prices fluctuated both ways and remained low profile on the commodity wholesale market last week, dealers aid on Saturday.
On Monday prices of commodities in wholesale market maintained almost weekend level owing to supply matching the demand. The yellow peas from Canada inferior type gained Rs 10 to Rs 1650, the better type showed change as it stayed put at Rs 1680, Irri white better kind shed Rs 50 to Rs 1020 and low type held put on weekend level at Rs 1000, cottonseed oilcake with bag low type shed Rs 5 to Rs 440 and while superior kind rose by Rs 3 to Rs 450.
On Tuesday slow down in commodity trading was widely marked where plastic mouldings showed both ways movement. HDPE film Saudia 952 down 50 paisa to Rs 38, Mobil down 50 paisa to Rs 38, LLDPE 7087 up 75 paisa to Rs 39.75, polypropylene film Thai up Rs 4 to Rs 46, Kuwait up Rs 4 to Rs 46, India higher by Rs 4 to Rs 46, polypropylene tape grade India up 75 paisa to Rs 39.50, Kuwait up 75 paisa to Rs 39.50, Saudia up 75 paisa to Rs 39.50, polypropylene injection Saudia up 50 paisa to Rs 40, India up Re 1 to Rs 40.50, and Kuwait 75 paisa to Rs 40.
Cottonseed oilcake with bag gained Rs 10 to Rs 450/460 due to light supply position, til better type shed Rs 50 to Rs 1650, wheat Mexipak old and new both type shed Rs 5 to Rs 1175 and Rs 1135 owing to improved supplies.
On Wednesday milk prices depicted downward trend on the fact that Ramazan was coming to close in one week's time. Grain markets were closed to observe Youme Ali. Powdered milk skimmed Haleeb SMP down Rs 700 to Rs 3700, Halla SMP down Rs 150 to Rs 4150 Olden Burger down Rs 50 to Rs 4900 and seven start down Rs 250 to Rs 4100.
On Thursday grain market showed stepped up buying after remaining closed for one day. Gram garda was noted higher by Rs 20 to Rs 1880/1920, yellow peas from Canada inferior type was noted higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1700 and good type was up Rs 60 to Rs 1700/1740, beetle chana I up Rs 30 to Rs 1990/2050, beetle chana 50x50 up Rs 25 to Rs 1925/1965, beetle dal low type gained Rs 25 to Rs 2375 and better type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2425, cottonseed cake with bag up Rs 15 to Rs 465, and low type up Rs 10 to Rs 470, Irri white better type shed Rs 10 to Rs 1010 while low type was seen put at previous level, big cardamom down Rs 100 to Rs 7800, cloves up Rs 150 to Rs 9500, dry ginger down Rs 100 to Rs 8000, Isbaghol bhoosi up Rs 100 to Rs 8500 and cuminseed up Rs 300 to Rs 3600. On Friday sales were suspended due to holiday on account of Jummatul Wida.
On Saturday, til better type gained Rs 50 to Rs 1700 while low type did not move any side at Rs 1500. Cottonseed oilcake with bag shed rupee five to Rs 460-470, guwar picked up Rs 50-75 to Rs 1900-2025 for all stations.
