Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi chairing a meeting here on Wednesday said that in order to promote law and order and provide security to the people 155 police patrolling posts have been made operational in the province while the remaining would be operational by November 15, 2005.
The Chief Minister said that record of all police posts would be computerised where record of all crimes would be kept and monitoring of their performance would be done. Chief Secretary Salman Siddiq, I.G. Punjab Zia ul Hasan Khan was present on the occasion. He said toll free help line numbers would be provided in the patrolling posts.
Inspector General Police said operational police patrolling posts were doing a creditable job in control of crimes in the province.
