Speaking in 'Guest Hour' programme at Peshawar Press Club, the newly elected District Nazim said that he had already directed the management of City Development and Municipal Department (CDMD) to prepare feasibility report of the project.
About funds for the project, Ghulam Ali said, Chief Minister Akram Durrani has assured him of full support in development of the city and in this regard the federal government would also be approached.

He said that for the purpose, the provincial government is going to sign an agreement with the Government of Japan.
For cleanliness in the city, the Nazim informed the media men that he has issued directives for purchase of five sweeping machines to remove garbage in the city. These machines, he said, would operate in five different locations of the city round the clock and will result in improving the environment.
Ghulam Ali said there was also plan to construct small towns and colonies around Ring Road for providing affordable residential facility to the poor people. The towns, he said, are also planned to reduce load on city which is already overpopulated.
In these towns, the Nazim said, journalists would also have a quota so that they could be provided housing facility.
About promotion of sports activities in Peshawar, Ghulam Ali said the district government would construct big stadiums for provision of sports The Nazim said with proper implementation of his developmental plan, people of Peshawar will feel the change within a period of one year.
