Engineer Imran Ashraf, Member Punjab Assembly of PML-N has said that PML-N was making adequate efforts for resolving the miseries and problems of quake-stricken people of the country.
Addressing a news conference here last evening he lauded the spirit and enthusiasm of the people for generously donating for the earthquake affectees.
He underscored the need of utilisation of all national resources for the speedy and timely rehabilitation of quake-hit people adding that government should refrain from dislocating the affectees and serve them without hurting their ego. He stressed upon the government to utilise the foreign reserves amounting to $12 billion on the rehabilitation of quake-affected people.
Imran said that it was high time that Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif should be allowed to return to Pakistan unconditionally for filling the leadership vacuum in the country politics.
The MPA disclosed that in order to provide hygienic drinking water to the people of Sialkot, seven more water purification plants would be installed in various parts of the city adding that eight water purification plants had already been installed by the Hilbro family.
The government had failed to provide development funds for undertaking development work in PP-123, he said adding that with the co-operation and financial support of Hilbro family more than Rs3.7 million had been spent on the completion of health, education and other social welfare projects in PP-123.
Imran disclosed that special arrangements were being made for providing basic computer education and imparting training to the children of 4 to 14 years of age. The programme would be initiated soon.
