Mental Health Resource Centre (MHRC) and Pakistan Psychiatry Association (PPA) have hailed Prime Minister's decision to set up a 'National Task Force' for psychological services and trauma Counselling for the quake victims as a part of psychological services programme.
MHRC President Professor Dr Khalid Mufti and PPA President Dr Bilal Aslam Sufi in their separate statements issued here Thursday said that the task force would help rehabilitate traumatised persons in the earthquake affected areas. "Psychological problems are surfacing in the quake-hit areas, which needs to be addressed on priority basis," they added.
