So what's the new plan!
The rehabilitation after rescue!
Am not asking about government plans, am asking about your's!
Why mine, am neither a politician nor a general!
Look!
To me u r the most precious commodity!
Meaning?
U r one of the people of Pakistan, working within your resources and capacity to help the victims. The "jazba" in common Pakistani to help victims is commendable.
Thanks for caring!
I asked where will u be during Eid holidays?
Me, I'll be very much here!
R u not going on holidays to celebrate Eid!
Can't think of any festivities!
Had u been to any of the local hospital or make shift camps where earthquake victims are treated?
No!
I badly wanted to.... but u know the official timings and .............I will definitely visit on Sunday.
Had u been to any of the hospitals in Islamabad, u would not have thought of celebrating Eid!
I will!
The patients looking with all the sadness in their eyes. The kids who r unaccompanied, looking expecting every new face to be of his or her parent/ relatives.
Too sad!
Come to the camps and u will find the new meaning of sadness!
I know...
The young girl of 18 who lost her three limbs out of four!
Oh! My God!
The look in her eyes, the sadness on her face...............
My friend, tell me what to do!
Just come, as a volunteer to any of those camps after that u will not be asking any questions. See the kids and youngsters who r alive but suffered spinal injuries.
Oh!
Many of them are brought from different villages for treatment by helicopters.
Must b very hard for their parents.
Most of them don't know where their parents r?
They don't know whether they r alive or not!
They pray that they are not dead , wishing that they r alive, may have been taken to some other city and being treated at some other hospital. Just keeping the ray of hope alive!
Oh! God!
They must be worried for their dear ones.
Ya!
I met one who was brought by helicopter , he lost his father and his mother and two sisters were injured but not severely, so the helicopter has only brought him for treatment not taken his family with him as they have to carry other injured.
Oh!
He is daily waiting that his mother would find him.
Heard that many people from affected areas are asking for their missing relatives. Some managed to visit the cities also. My sister, a doctor, told me that a 70-year-old man who was himself injured, had come to her hospital after visiting four main hospitals in the twin cities looking for his daughter and 5-year old grandson whose father had died in the earthquake.
Too bad!
Read that the illegal gangs are also at work, many girls and children r suspected to be kidnapped by these people.
Oh God!
The database should be compiled immediately and the relief and rehabilitation people should post those lists in the relief centres at the affected areas along with the photographs so that illetrate can also recognize their dear ones.
The media is playing its due role running programmes to help the victims know about the whereabouts of their relatives.
Ya!
The "jazba" is commendable, I salute the volunteers and the reporters who r taking pains to do some volunteer work but I have an objection.
What?
Who is watching TV in tents at earthquake hit areas?
