Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum of 'Poet of the East', Allama Muhammad Iqbal here Wednesday to pay homage on his 128th birth anniversary.
Members of the PWF also offered fateha for the eternal peace of great philosopher. PWF President, Chaudhry Talib Nawaz on the occasion called upon the workers to forge unity among their ranks to press the rulers for ensuring development of the country in line with the vision of Allama Iqbal.
He said the labour community had to display the same unity with which it translated the dream of Pakistan of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in to reality by rendering countless sacrifices.
He called for promoting the patriotism but said that it was possible only when there should be no discrimination between poor and rich and added that those who looted national wealth should be held accountable.
