Governor Balochistan, Owais Ahmed Ghani Wednesday expressed his profound gratitude to the government and people of Iran for their generous assistance for October 8 quake victims.
He commended the Iran's offer of $200 million to Pakistan for reconstruction of devastated areas. Talking to Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Mohammad Tahir Ibrabhim who called on him here it Governor House, he said both Islamic states had centuries old religious and cultural relations besides sharing long borders. "Pakistan aspires to enhance co-operation with Iran in every field of life," he added.
Referring to post-earthquake conditions, the governor said Pakistan needed billions of dollars to reconstruct and restore normal life in affected areas.
On this occasion Ibrahim also briefed the governor about the latest developments in Iran-Pak-India gas pipeline project.
Describing this project highly beneficial for three countries, the governor ensured maximum security and responsibility regarding the pipeline.
