Wheat prices fall on grain market

Wheat prices slid on the grain market on Friday on fresh arrivals and partly because of falling demand as the buyers have already covered their near-term needs, dealers said.
On the cereal side, wheat Mexipak old and new both shed Rs 10 to Rs 1140-1150 in thin trading, they said. Other items maintained overnight levels on balanced demand and supply position, they added.
On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag, low type, gained Rs 3 to Rs 458 and better type rose by Rs 5 to Rs 470, they said.
