The Karachi Port handled 80,974 tonnes of cargo including 70,793 tonnes import and 10,181 tonnes export cargo including 3,957 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 75,274 tonnes dry cargo including 44,112 tonnes general cargo; 3,759 tonnes sugar; 13,610 tonnes fertiliser; 843 tonnes rice; 12,950 tonnes coal and 5,700 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Eleven ships namely Corinthiakos, Hyundai Future, YM Star, Golden Express, YM Faha, Ponl Vera Cruz, Eagle Express, Fareast Glory, Hajer, Ryong Gang-2 and Cosmos Ace sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Docomo, Eax Sanctity, Cosmos Ace, Golden Express, Paraskevi II, Diamond Park, Santa FE, Cma Cgm Karibu and YM Faha are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Cma Cgm Karibu and Sagamore expected to sail on Friday, while five vessels viz CSAV Morumbi, Kota Tabah, Eax Sanctity, Pac Antlia and Docomo expected to sail on Saturday.
Two vessels viz Iran Baabaei and Pac Antlia due to arrive on Friday, while three ships namely Shintoku, Emerald Sea and Victor Talalikhin are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 53,281 tonnes comprising 44,212 tonnes import and 9,069 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,411 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 11,982 tonnes diesel oil; 1,381 tonnes chemicals; 3,539 tonnes sugar; 11,415 tonnes coal; 977 tonnes rice and 23,987 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Al-Mirqab, Al-Maqwa and Green Park sailed out to sea during the report period, while two vessels viz MV Olympic Galaxy and Evoropi are expected to sail on Friday.
A total of ten vessels viz Sports Queen, Multan, Shintoku, Saudi Diriyah, Msc Serena, Amasis, Olympic Galaxy, Minoan, Kang Yang and New Toyokze are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Saudi Diriyah, MT Shintoku, Amasis and MV Kang Yang due to take berths on Friday.
MT Docomo with edible oil due to arrive on Friday, while five ships namely Maersk Arizona, Lissy Schulte, San Clemente, Keefan and Nueva Union with iron ore, diesel oil and containers are due to arrive on Saturday.
