US cocoa futures ended mixed Tuesday after speculators failed to sustain a light rally fuelled by participants buying back short positions, market sources said.
The New York Board of Trade's active March cocoa contract settled flat at $1,351 a tonne, after trading from $1,346 to $1,377.
The May delivery finished down $1 to end at $1,371, while back months lost $1 to $2. Front-month December concluded up $10 at $1,337 a tonne.
