Australia's champion leg-spinner Shane Warne was in doubt to play in the second cricket Test against the West Indies here late on Wednesday with a back injury, Cricket Australia said.
The world record wicket-taker has lower back pain and NSW seamer Stuart Clark was called in to act as cover. Warne has been given until Thursday match morning to prove his fitness for the Test at Bellerive Oval. A Cricket Australia spokeswoman said it was the first time Warne had suffered the injury.
If Warne is ruled out, seamer Nathan Bracken and spin bowler Stuart MacGill will both play in the match.
